Agal and iqal headbands
An agal, also transliterated iqal, is a cord worn over certain men's headscarves to help hold them in place. Internal diameter, weight and construction need to suit both scarf and wearer. It does not replace the scarf and is not a required accessory for every Muslim outfit.
Practical checks: agal and iqal headbands
Before ordering, establish how size is measured and whether the design is flexible, rigid or adjustable. A multi-loop agal in a photograph may have a different volume from a simpler model. Inspect joins and ask about storage to avoid lasting distortion.
